Members of the delegation were informed about the operations, roles and responsibilities of the supreme audit institution, as well as about the audits carried out and planned which were of interest to the delegation.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On 16 May, dr. L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Windisch, President of the State Audit Office of Hungary (SAO), and the Vice-President along with senior officials of the SAO received a delegation from the European Parliament&#8217;s Committee on Budgetary Control (CONT). The delegation was led by Monika Hohlmeier, President of the Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"\/files\/4215024-scaled.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"744\" src=\"\/files\/4215024-1024x744.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-28016\" srcset=\"\/files\/4215024-1024x744.jpg 1024w, \/files\/4215024-300x218.jpg 300w, \/files\/4215024-768x558.jpg 768w, \/files\/4215024-1536x1116.jpg 1536w, \/files\/4215024-2048x1488.jpg 2048w, \/files\/4215024-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the meeting, the members of the delegation were given detailed information on, among other things, the powers and operation of the SAO, audit on EU funds, audits in progress focusing on the use of EU subsidies, experiences of audits in relation to the final accounts, audits covering EU funds from the Brexit Adjustment Reserve, targeted audits on EU funds under the Rural Development Programme as well as the experiences of integrity audits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"\/files\/1857944-scaled.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"661\" src=\"\/files\/1857944-1024x661.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-28017\" srcset=\"\/files\/1857944-1024x661.jpg 1024w, \/files\/1857944-300x194.jpg 300w, \/files\/1857944-768x496.jpg 768w, \/files\/1857944-1536x991.jpg 1536w, \/files\/1857944-2048x1321.jpg 2048w, \/files\/1857944-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the meeting, dr L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Windisch reported on the institutional renewal process which has begun since his election in last July.
