Based on its statutory obligation, the SAO of Hungary audited the use of funds spent on the implementation of tasks related to the preparation and management of the 2022 parliamentary elections and referendum at the National Election Office (NEO), election offices selected for the audit, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade conducting the voting at foreign representations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result of the audit, the SAO of Hungary found that the financial preparation of the elections and referendum was carried out regularly at the National Election Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and, with one exception, at all the audited election offices, and that the allocation and management of funds provided from the central budget for the elections and referendum was carried out regularly. According to the report, the accounting of funds at the electoral bodies was also regular.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
