On 22 September 2025, dr. László Windisch, President of the State Audit Office of Hungary (SAO) received Mr. Metin Yener, President of the Turkish Court of Accounts (TCA), at his office. During the bilateral meeting, the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
The meeting and the Memorandum of Understanding was preceded by a bilateral meeting between the Presidents of SAO and TCA in April 2025, with the aim of introducing the two institutions to each other and to explore possibilities for cooperation. The next stage in the emerging cooperation was the bilateral meeting on 22 September 2025. In addition to the informal exchange of experience, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed at the meeting, which will enable direct exchanges of information and experience, as well as the expansion of the cooperation.
In addition to the TCA delegation, H.E. C. Gülşen Karanis Ekşioğlu, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Hungary, was also present at the meeting.
