Tirana hosted the 7th Young EUROSAI Conference. The event, which was co-organized by the Albanian Supreme Audit Institution and the EUROSAI focused on the role auditors play in promoting sustainable and digital transformation.

During the two-day professional event, in addition to experts from the Albanian Supreme Audit Institution, young auditors from numerous foreign partner organisations—including the United Kingdom, Malta, the Czech Republic, China, Norway, the Netherlands, Latvia, Kosovo, and Portugal—presented their professional studies and shared their hands on experiences with the audience. Participants explored key areas such as digital transformation and efficiency gains made possible by new technologies, as well as methodologies and technological solutions that have proven effective in their own countries.

The event placed special emphasis on the challenges what young auditors are facing, including sustainability, digitalisation, and innovation in auditing. In addition, the presentations focused on institutional resilience, skills development, the risks of digital fraud, and the application of artificial intelligence as well.

The professional discussions and presentations made it clear that digitalisation and institutional innovation are essential to the future effectiveness of supreme audit institutions. These technologies enable successful adaptation to changing requirements, while keeping the auditor at the center of this evolution.
