The Romanian Court of Accounts, celebrating its 160th anniversary, hosted several prestigious international events in Bucharest from 16-19 September 2024. The State Audit Office of Hungary (SAO) was represented by its Vice-President, Dr Monika Karas.
The aim is professional and scientific cooperation and a joint contribution to improving the quality of responsible financial management of public funds.
On the occasion of the national holiday of 20 August, the President of the Republic of Hungary awarded Dr. Csaba Szomolai, Vice President of the State Audit Office of Hungary, with the Hungarian Order of Merit, Officer’s Cross. The award was handed over by Deputy Minister András Tállai at today’s event.
The State Audit Office of Hungary considers the transparency of the financial management of local governments to be extremely important therefore requests them to provide mandatory data.
