On 26 March 2024, the Vice Presidents and experts of the State Audit Office of Hungary (SAO) hosted a delegation of the Vice President and members of the senior management of the State Audit Office of Vietnam (SAV) at the headquarters of the SAO. In the framework of the bilateral meeting, the audit experts discussed current matters of organisational transformation and modernisation. During the event, the parties gave presentations on their practices in the areas of organisational transformation, audit-analytical capacity building, data-driven technologies and institutional experience in specific thematic audits.
The cooperation between the two Supreme Audit Institutions dates back to nearly two decades ago. Our past bilateral agreement aimed in particular at improving audit methodologies, has been renewed several times in the recent period by the SAO and the SAV. As part of the cooperation, the experts of the SAIs met regularly to share their knowledge and experience. The agenda of the most recent meeting also included timely issues such as utilizing the opportunities offered by IT processes in the development of audit technology.
