Hungary hosts the annual meeting of the SAIs of the V4+2 Group

On 15 and 16 May 2025, the SAIs of the Visegrad Group as well as Austria and Slovenia (V4+2 Group) held their annual meeting in Győr and Pannonhalma, led by Dr. László Windisch, President of the State Audit Office of Hungary.

The supreme audit institutions of the participating countries – Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovenia and Slovakia – meet annually to discuss matters of common interest at executive management level. The agenda of this year’s meeting allowed for a comprehensive discussion of six different professional topics. On the first day, participants engaged in an active exchange of views in the field of parliamentary relations and redress procedures, the audit of the use of EU funds, data use practices and the financial dimensions of SAIs’ independence.

On the second day, the presidents and their experts reviewed the entire audit processes of the participating SAIs from the selection of the audit topic to the drafting of the report. They also discussed the impact and outcome of the activities of the audit institutions and finally shared their ideas on the different models and organisational solutions. The next V4+2 meeting will take place in 2026 in Slovenia.
