On 24 April 2024, Dr. László Windisch, President of the State Audit Office of Hungary (SAO), received Zagdjav Deleg, President of the Mongolian National Audit Office (MNAO) at the headquarters of the supreme audit institution of Hungary. The purpose of the meeting was to review the possibilities for knowledge sharing and exchange of experience between the two SAIs and to sign a cooperation agreement setting the framework for future cooperation.
The primary objective of the SAO and the MNAO is to support the implementation of a sound and effective public finance management in their countries by continuously improving the SAI’s institutional capacity including audit methodology and technology toolsets used. The bilateral meeting therefore featured an expert-level consultation focusing on the methodological and technological innovations applied by the two institutions.
